What we believe

These principles are the bedrock of our faith and shape how we worship, connect in fellowship, and serve our community. At Legacy Church, we firmly hold that these words truly encapsulate our core values and teachings.

Jesus Christ. At Legacy Church, we hold the belief that during His First Advent, our Lord Jesus Christ willingly departed from the heavenly glories, embracing full and perfect humanity in His incarnation.

Salvation. In accordance with our faith, salvation in our Lord Jesus Christ is a redemptive process initiated entirely by God. Believers take part in this process solely by His grace through their faith in Jesus.

Baptism. Baptism, according to our faith, is a public declaration of one’s faith and a symbol of a new life in Jesus Christ. It serves as an outward testament to an inner, transformative experience.

The Holy Spirit. Our belief at Legacy Church underscores the permanent indwelling of the Holy Spirit within all believers. He carries out His transformative work, leading to the new birth and eternal life.

The Bible. The canon of Holy Scripture, consisting of 66 books, remains the exclusive authority guiding our faith and practice, a cornerstone of our beliefs at Legacy Church.

Twelve families and a borrowed room

Legacy began as a weeknight Bible study in a living room, with folding chairs and a coffee pot that never seemed to empty.

  2. 1967

    A sanctuary of our own

Members raised the first sanctuary on the corner lot, much of it with their own hands, and the doors have opened every Sunday since.

  3. 1989

    Doors open wider

A greeting team, a nursery and a Sunday class for newcomers made a growing church feel like a family table.

  4. 2008

    Serving the neighborhood

The food pantry and Saturday service days carried the congregation beyond its walls and into the streets around it.

    Still connecting people, inspiring hope

Two Sunday services, ministries for every age and the same open door: come as you are.
