Who we are, where we came from

Learn about Legacy

Think of it as a welcoming sanctuary for anyone seeking hope. Welcome to Legacy Church!

We take pride in a diverse and friendly community, where people from all walks of life come together to share their faith journeys. Whether you are a newcomer or a longtime member, you are a cherished part of our family.

Our history

Legacy has a long memory, and we hold it gently. What follows is sample history for this template; replace it with your own church’s story.

1958 · Twelve families and a borrowed room

Legacy began as a weeknight Bible study in a living room, with folding chairs and a coffee pot that never seemed to empty. Twelve families kept showing up, and that was the whole plan.

1967 · A sanctuary of our own

Members raised the first sanctuary on the corner lot, much of it with their own hands. The doors have opened every Sunday since.

1989 · Doors open wider

A greeting team, a nursery and a Sunday class for newcomers made a growing church feel like a family table.

2008 · Serving the neighborhood

The food pantry and Saturday service days carried the congregation beyond its walls and into the streets around it.

Today · Still connecting people

Two Sunday services, ministries for every age and the same open door: come as you are.

Our mission

At Legacy Church, passionate believers united through worship, guided by the Word, impact the world as God seeks the lost.

These principles are the bedrock of our faith and shape how we worship, connect in fellowship, and serve our community. We firmly hold that these words truly encapsulate our core values and teachings.

Statement of Faith

God

We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is the Creator of all things and worthy of our worship.

Man

We believe God created humanity in His image, male and female, and that every human life has sanctity and worth. Sin has broken that image, and we need a Savior.

Eternity

We believe every person will live forever, either in the presence of God or apart from Him, and that those who trust in Christ have eternal life.

Jesus Christ

We hold that our Lord Jesus Christ willingly departed from the heavenly glories, embracing full and perfect humanity. We affirm His virgin birth, sinless life, atoning death, resurrection and return in power and glory.

Salvation

Salvation in our Lord Jesus Christ is a redemptive process initiated entirely by God. We receive it by grace through faith in Jesus alone.

Passionate believers united through worship, guided by the Word, impact the world as God seeks the lost.
